3.26 - November 2026

Deutsche Version

Please note that this is not a complete changelog: the complete changelog can always be found in BISO in the user menu under “Changelog”.

This update brings the new module “Resource planning” (“Ressourcenplanung”) for ZH, a new value list “Countries” (“Länder”) for the person’s country of origin, and more options when rescheduling and cancelling appointments: you can now change the counsellor. Mother tongue, counselling language and correspondence language now use a shared language list, and English is also available as a correspondence language for letters / letter templates. For Geneva, there is the new report “Tableau de bord”.

This page also contains the changes from patch versions 3.25.1 to 3.25.4.

During the update, existing data is migrated (including the person’s country of origin, renamed parameters). Please note the section “Technical changes” further below.

New features

New module “Resource planning” (“Ressourcenplanung”)

With the resource planning module, regional offices plan how they distribute the available working time of their staff across events, counselling and school-related activities. For each reporting period, capacity, demand and planned hours are compared. BISO continuously calculates the actual hours from the recorded event appointments and counselling services.

The module has its own navigation item “Resource planning” with the areas Settings (reporting periods, standard values per regional office, areas, planning types), demand overview, deployment planning, and an overview with Excel export and a statistic per employee. The statistic is also available as a tab on the person. The module is only visible for the new user role “Resource planner” (“Ressourcenplaner/in”) and for administrators and is enabled via the parameter mit_modul_ressourcenplanung. You can find details in the manual, chapter “Resource planning”. (#32269, #32279, #32281, #32282)

New value list “Countries”

The person’s country of origin is now selected from the value list “Countries” instead of being entered as free text. The list is based on ISO 3166 (source: Federal Statistical Office) and also contains membership of the EU and EFTA. During the update, the existing free texts are automatically assigned to a country; values that cannot be assigned unambiguously are transferred to the person’s remarks. The field “Country” (“Land”) in the addresses of persons and institutions now offers a selection aid from the same list; free input remains possible. (#32836)

Rescheduling and cancelling appointments: changing the counsellor

When rescheduling a counselling case appointment, you can now choose the regional office and counsellor. If you choose a free appointment slot, the appointment takes over its counsellor. If the counsellor changes in the process, BISO offers to hand the case over to the new counsellor.

When cancelling a future appointment, you can now create a free appointment slot on the cancelled date. The cancelled appointment remains on the case with the cancellation reason. A different counsellor can also be chosen for the replacement appointment, with optional case handover. (#32517)

Languages: shared language list, English as correspondence language

Mother tongue, counselling language and correspondence language now use the same language list. The value list “Mother tongue” is now called “Languages”. English can now also be chosen as the correspondence language for persons and institutions (previously only as the language of the letter template); the language filter of the letter templates offers German, French and English for this. Language selections and the language menu now show the language names in the language of the user (e.g. “Allemand” instead of “Deutsch”). (#32484)

Other new features

  • GE: case field “Closing status” (“Statut du suivi”): new field in the counselling case with its own value list. For career counselling cases, it is a mandatory field when closing. The field is also available in the case search and in the reporting views. (#32838)
  • GE: new case report “Anamnèse”: as a web form and PDF. (#32008)
  • GE: new report “Tableau de bord”: shows eleven key figures per regional office and can be output as PDF or Excel. (#31381)
  • BL: result field “Perspecta result” (“Ergebnis Perspecta”): new field with its own value list, only visible for Perspecta cases. The field is also included in the case export and in the reporting views. (#32837)
  • Case types: suggest module: in the value list of the case types, a module can be stored for each case type and is suggested when opening a case. The new parameter bf_modul_aendern_durch_rolle defines which roles may change the module on the case. (#32518)
  • Persons: tabs “Employment” (“Anstellung”) and “Resource planning”: the tab “Employment” records employment periods with employment percentage, the tab “Resource planning” the annual values per reporting period (e.g. absences). The tab “Employment” can also be enabled without resource planning via the new parameter mit_modul_anstellung. (#32276, #32574, #32724)
  • Events: assignment to a school building: for each event type, you can now set that events can be assigned to a school building (previously only for school consultation hours). (#32275)
  • SMS appointment reminders can be switched separately: the automatic appointment reminders can now be switched on and off with the parameter mit_sms_termin_erinnerung, independently of manual SMS sending. Existing installations keep their behaviour. (#32744)
  • SMS in the case log: manually sent free-text SMS related to a case, as well as SMS sent on an appointment cancellation, are now entered in the case log. (#32565)
  • Notes: defaults for the case protocol: with the new parameter notiz_exclude_default, new notes are “Exclude from protocol” (“Vom Protokoll ausschliessen”) by default. With fallprotokoll_notiz_default, the notes checkbox is preselected when creating the case protocol. For GE, notes are therefore not included in the case protocol by default. (#32259)
  • SK BSLB statistic (CS OPUC): filter “Case type” (“Fall-Typ”): the statistic can now be filtered by case type. The selected filter is output in the parameters of the export. (#32257)
  • Teacher as free text: with the new parameter lehrer_als_freitext, the teacher is recorded as free text (GE: active). The teacher can be searched in the advanced and the modern search. (#32480)
  • Appointments and services: fields can be hidden: the new parameter mit_termin_dolmetscher hides the interpreter field (GE: hidden). Without the parameter mit_kostenpflicht, the tariff and flat rate of the service are hidden. If only one product is active, the quick service entry selects it automatically. For GE, “Protocole” is now called “Journal”. (#32124)
  • Case timeline: case and person documents: if person documents are shown in the case list, the timeline now shows whether it is a case or a person document. In the document form, documents can now be protected or released. (#32757)
  • BL/CMBB: reports revised: the report “Annual statistics” (“Jahresstatistik”) has a new filter by case type (multiple selection). In the reports “Annual statistics”, “Case statistics” (“Fall-Statistik”) and “Current utilisation” (“Aktuelle Auslastung”), inactive case types can also be chosen. The report “C-Monitoring und BiA” is now called “Case statistics”. In the reports “Case statistics” and “Current utilisation”, the tags are grouped by tag group, with a total per group. (#32655, #32657, #32658)
  • AMM certificate (BL): PDF only with complete grid: the PDF can only be created once the attendance/absence grid no longer contains a “?”. Otherwise, a notice appears asking you to replace the “?” with the correct code. (#32515)
  • SH online appointments: assign counselling type: the counselling type chosen in the registration form (e.g. online, by telephone, at the BIZ) is now assigned to the matching meeting type via a mapping table. For details, see the manual, chapter SH online appointments. (#31370)
  • BS: collective invoice template: the collective invoice template was revised (new first page, adjusted header in the invoice and preview). (#32523)

Other minor adjustments

  • Create appointment: default option first: the selection buttons “Create appointment” (“Termin erstellen”) / “Appointment from list” (“Termin aus Liste”) now show the configured default option first. (#32619, #32620)
  • New column “Meeting type preselection” (“Art der Besprechung Vorauswahl”): in the list “Free appointment slots” (“Freie Termine”) on the home page and in the appointment list (hidden by default). (#32635)
  • Documents can always be attached in the case: attaching documents in the case is now always available. (#32668)
  • Parents / legal representative in the full person form: when recording and editing, the full person form opens again. Geneva keeps the simplified form (configurable in the configuration under “Persons”). (#32715)
  • Duplicating reports: when duplicating, the original is closed and only the copy stays open. This way, the two can no longer be confused. (#32759)
  • SMS templates without length limit: SMS templates no longer have a fixed length limit, as placeholders can become shorter or longer when sending. (#32579)
  • Import inbox: window for person matching: the window no longer becomes excessively wide on large screens. (#32721)
  • Institution search: the field “Canton” is wider and is no longer truncated. (#32743)
  • Accessibility: icons in buttons and menu items are ignored by screen readers, and the navigation area has a label.
  • BS online appointments: supplied files are deleted from the import folder after being transferred to the case.
  • GE: field “Problématique” removed: the field “Reason for consultation” (“Problématique”) was removed from the counselling case (master data and new entry). The content is deleted during the update. (#31979)
  • Case form: column widths in “Attached files” (“Angehängte Dateien”) and “Reports” (“Berichte”): both tabs now save the column widths you set. The default columns for file name, description, creator and creation date are wider.
  • Appointments: duration field with system-wide default duration: if the parameter default_zeit_dauer_ueberschreibbar is disabled, the duration field no longer shows a tooltip. (#32622)
  • BL: RAV collective invoice: the column “RAV person no.” (“RAV-Personen-Nr.”, previously “Soz.-Vers.-Nr.”) now shows the RAV number of the person instead of the social security number. (#32879)
  • ZH/baiz: final report potential assessment pre-apprenticeship for integration (“Schlussbericht Potenzialabklärung Integrationsvorlehre”): placeholders “[TEXT]” are highlighted in yellow in the editor (not highlighted in the PDF). The text modules were corrected, the introductory text was removed from the PDF, and the “Date of entry CH” (“Einreisedatum CH”) of the person is printed instead of “Time of entry” (“Einreisezeitpunkt”). The old template “Schlussbericht Invol / Start Berufsbildung” is hidden. (#32717)
  • French translations: various translations added and corrected. (#32032, #32742, #32632)

Technical changes

This section is primarily intended for administrators and IT: please note these points during the update.

  • New parameters: mit_modul_ressourcenplanung, mit_modul_anstellung, mit_bf_abschluss_status, mit_perspecta, bf_modul_aendern_durch_rolle, mit_sms_termin_erinnerung, mit_termin_dolmetscher, notiz_exclude_default, fallprotokoll_notiz_default and lehrer_als_freitext. The parameters are created with default values during the update; please check the values in Admin > Parameters.
  • Renamed parameters: mit_freien_terminen is now called fall_eroeffnen_termin_default, vorausgewaehlten_termin_leistung is now called vorausgewaehltes_termin_produkt (“Preselected product” (“Vorausgewähltes Produkt”)). The existing values are carried over during the update. (#32619, #32522)
  • Removed parameter: bf_dokumente_anhaengen (attaching documents in the case is always available). (#32668)
  • Country of origin: migration to the value list “Countries”: during the update, the free texts in the person’s country of origin are assigned to a country. Values that cannot be assigned unambiguously are appended as a line “Herkunftsland (alt): …” to the person’s remarks. The previous free-text field is removed. (#32836)
  • Reporting views: the views now contain additional columns for the country of origin (including French name, ISO codes, EU and EFTA membership), for the closing status (GE) and for the Perspecta result (BL). (#32836, #32838, #32837)
  • GE: database column “Problématique” deleted: the column is deleted together with its content during the update. Back up the data before the update if you still need it. (#31979)

Bug fixes

  • #32484: since version 3.24.0, German text parts were used in French memo templates.
  • #32484: since version 3.24.0, the salutation and file name of letters followed the language of the user instead of the language of the template.
  • #32109: SMS reminders - SMS templates with a language filter were not used if no correspondence language was recorded for the customer and the counsellor (mainly affects Geneva). The language of the counsellor as a user now applies in this case, otherwise the default language of the installation.
  • #32109: in SMS and email templates, the placeholder “Mobile phone” (“Mobiltelefon”) stayed empty. Existing templates are corrected automatically.
  • #32522: with module-dependent service selection, the product preselected in the parameters was not set.
  • #32709: in the quick service entry, blocked default values of the product (e.g. duration, tariff) could still be changed.
  • #32634: the toolbar of the quick service entry was truncated on small screens.
  • #32597: BL, BL/CMBB - in the statistic per counsellor, cases and duration now only count appointments whose statistically relevant services add up to at least 30 minutes (as in the SK BSLB statistic (CS OPUC)).
  • #32719: in the standard export, the column “fall_anz_termine_statistikrelevant” (basic case data) could not be selected and counted all appointments. It now counts only appointments with at least one statistically relevant service.
  • #32572: when opening a case, the checkbox “Chargeable” (“Kostenpflichtig”) was shown instead of hidden when the parameter mit_begruendung_kostenbefreiung was active.
  • #32710: for workshop letters, the enclosures defined in the template were not preselected.
  • #32095: the CSV export of the case history now outputs columns and content in the language of the user, with the text without HTML formatting.
  • #32734: when assigning a school in the counselling case, the school level was no longer selected when reopening.
  • #32804: import inbox JaxForms - the case remarks were not transferred.
  • #32854: in date fields (French), a date could no longer be typed in abbreviated form (e.g. “5.3.” or “5”).
  • #32745: the employee export from the institution search did not take the institutions found into account correctly.
  • #32741: the result of the labour market capability check was not displayed in French in the French text.
  • #32515: AMM certificate (baiz, BL) - the month selector did not open on the set month, and with fast month changes, appointments of the previous month appeared.
  • #32835: ZH - in the current mentoring statistic, months were missing, and cases without a mentoring start were not handled correctly in the total.
  • #31432: TG - the PDF template of the report “viamia Check” was corrected (including the graphic) and extended with the first name of the counsellor.
  • #32722: in the case form (French), the block “Base de données” showed unnecessary scrollbars.
  • Modern and advanced search: the filters “Involved institutions” (“Involvierte Institutionen”) (CMBB), mentor regional office (multiple selection), appointment type “Workshop” and “Employment: date to” (“Beschäftigung: Datum bis”) returned wrong results or none. The institution selection now searches from 2 characters.
  • Reports and appointments: if the form was closed very quickly after opening, the automatic saving started afterwards in the background.
  • Case opening: with the parameter mit_raumsituation active, selecting from the appointment list caused an error.
  • BS online appointments: the import read the form data from the wrong object.
  • Case form (French): typo “Vérification des coûts” corrected.
